What is Paintless Dent Removal?

Paintless Dent Removal (P.D.R) takes professional
training and years of practice to achieve the level of repair that we at
Pre-Dent pride ourselves on.

The process involves the use of
specialist tools that the technician uses to gently push behind the damaged
area,and slowly manipulate the metal back to its original position. The use of
a reflection board or flourescent lighting is essential as this is used to show
the imperfections in the panel and also as a guide to show where to push and
the amount of pressure needed. Again, years of experience are essential because
knowing where to push and the pressure required are the key elements to a
successful repair.

What is glue pulling?

The use of glue and a glue puller,
although still P.D.R is another skill in itself. When access behind a dent is
not possible this is another option. Glue is applied to specially designed
plastic “tabs” and then placed carefully on the dent and rather than
push from behind the panel this method lets the technician pull the dent
outwards. Once the glue is removed with our releasing agent any “high
spots” are tapped down. This process is repeated until the panel is back to
its original position.
